Though we've already shown you how to go about adding a Gmail email account, there's a good chance that you might actually have another email account that isn't Gmail. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to add a non-Gmail email account to your Android phone so that you can keep up with all of your correspondence through all email accounts.

Tutorial Notes

· First, fire up the Email app by opening your app tray and tapping Email.

· Next, you'll need to enter your email address and password, then tap Next.

· If a dialog box opens, read it over before you press OK. You'll then have to wait while the Email application checks the incoming and outgoing server settings. This step will likely go faster if you're connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network.

· Now, add a name to the account. This is for you to recognize the account from your accounts list.

· In the box that says Your name, enter your name as you would like it to be displayed to those you email. Tap Done and the app will pull in your messages.

· Some accounts, like corporate email accounts or those that you have through your home Internet service, will require manual set up. In the Email app, tap the menu key, then choose Accounts.

· Tap menu again and tap Add account. Now, tap your email address and password into the appropriate fields.

· Tap Manual setup and enter what type of account you're using. Your administrator should have this information or you can find it online.

· For example, searching for "comcast email server settings" will bring up suitable instructions. They may not pertain to your device, but you can find the information you need, such as incoming and outgoing server addresses and incoming and outgoing ports.

· Once this important information is entered, simply follow the steps to add your account
