Android gives you a number of ways that you can customize your home screen to your liking, so it would be a shame to leave your home screen on something boring like the default. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to change your Android home screen whether you want to use an image from your own photo gallery or whether you want to try something different like a live wallpaper.
Tutorial Notes
· Find a blank spot on a home screen, then tap and hold. In the context menu that appears, choose Wallpapers.
· Gallery lets you choose from pictures you've taken or imported onto your phone. Live wallpapers lets you put motion wallpaper onto your home screens. Wallpapers is where you'll find standard non-moving stock image style wallpapers.
· To select a stock wallpaper, choose Wallpapers, then scroll through the options in the ribbon at the bottom of the screen. When you're happy with your selection, tap Set wallpaper.
· Now, we'll try setting a live wallpaper. Scroll through the list of available wallpapers and tap any one to get a preview. When you find one you like, hit the Set wallpaper button.
· To set an image from your Gallery as the wallpaper, repeat the process: Long press on a blank home screen area, choose Wallpapers and then choose Gallery. Scroll through the options and choose a pic to view.
· Now, you have to choose which area of the picture you want to use. Move the orange cropping box by tapping and dragging. Tap the top or side of the cropping box to resize then drag the handles. Repeat this process until you're happy with the selected area. Hit Save. After a few seconds, your newly selected wallpaper will appear on your home screen.
Android handles wallpaper a little differently than some other smartphones. Rather than showing you the same static image on each home screen, scrolling through your home screens gives a slightly different view on the same wallpaper.
