In this tutorial, we'll show you the accessibility options available on your Android phone. While these are somewhat limited, they can be of some help as they can be turned on so that your phone will read menu names as you browse your phone, or make sounds when changing pages or even vibrate.

Tutorial Notes

· From the home screen, tap the menu key then choose Settings. Scroll down and tap Accessibility.

· Now, from the top of this page, tap the box beside Accessibility to turn it on.

· You'll see a number of accessibility services available. Tap the check box to turn any of these services on. You will receive a warning that the service could conceivably log and capture data.

· TalkBack will read text on screen as well as text that you type. You'll hear the phone announce the name of the screen when you change screens.

· SoundBack adds some navigation sounds to your Android phone. If you hit the Home button, you'll hear one such sound. Tap the Menu key and you'll hear the sounds again.

· KickBack adds vibration to the mix. Tap Home and you'll feel a slight vibration. Tap an app to open it and you'll feel a slightly different vibration.

The Power button option allows you to change the way the power button works when in a call. Tap the box to turn this service on and your power button will now end a call in progress.
