The contact list on your Android is capable of storing a picture for each of your contacts, which can make them much easier to identify when they call. This could be a picture of them, or their artwork, or their house or whatever you want. We'll show you how to add a picture to your contacts in this tutorial.

Tutorial Notes

· First, open the Contacts application or bring up the dialer and tap the Contacts tab at the top.

· Now, scroll down until you find a contact that you'd like to assign a picture to. Tap the contact to select them, then tap the menu key and tap Edit contact.

· You'll see their contact page pop up with their details. Tap the picture box with a little plus icon in it. You can now choose to either take a photo on the spot or choose one from your gallery.

· If you choose Select photo from Gallery, you might be given an option of which gallery to select photos from depending on your installed apps.

· Once you're in Gallery you'll be presented with a list of albums in that gallery to select a photo from. Open an album and select a photo.

· You'll now be given the option to crop the photo, and you can tap the orange borders and drag to expand them if you wish. Tap Save once you're done, or Discard to return to your album.

· Back at the contact page, if you choose Take photo you'll be brought into the Camera application where you can play with your camera settings until you're ready to take the photo.

· Tap the shutter button to take the shot and, if you don't like it, you can even tap Retake. Select OK if you like the shot and you'll have the option to crop it. Tap Save once you're done.

· Back at your contacts contact page, you can tap the photo and you'll have a few options. Use this photo will keep the current photo, Remove icon removes the photo entirely, and Change icon will give you the option to once again either take a photo or select one from the gallery.
